Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias, utilizing Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
- Manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line blood draws, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and blood product administration
- Implement and maintain strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
- Perform feeding tube care and management as needed
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, MS/Tele skills, and IV therapy
- Experience with computerized charting; EPIC proficiency required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification (not required but preferred)
- NIHSS certification
- Prior experience in an acute leukemia, hematology, or oncology care setting
