Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage telemetry, dysrhythmias, and cardiac monitoring with appropriate clinical interventions
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV insulin, and heparin protocols
• Perform blood product administration, tracheostomy management, and wound care including wound vac therapy
• Support non-invasive airway management including CPAP, BiPAP, and supplemental oxygen therapy
• Utilize rapid response team protocols and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of submission
• Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records documentation
• Ability to comply with Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon contract signing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in PCU or stepdown care environments
• Background in renal failure management and complex medical-surgical patient populations
• Familiarity with staffing ratios of 1:4 in high-acuity settings
