Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across cardiovascular and medical-surgical ICU settings
• Support care for complex patient populations including postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients, as well as heart and lung transplant, LVAD, ECMO, IABP, and Impella cases
• Manage respiratory needs for patients with ARDS, septic shock, pulmonary hypertension, decompensated heart failure, and related critical conditions
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to the main adult hospital campus as needed, utilizing the same policies, equipment, and charting systems
• Participate in emergency response activities as required, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be considered
• Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience
• No first-time travelers accepted for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced mechanical circulatory support including ECMO, IABP, and Impella
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting platform
• Experience in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma, or teaching hospital environment
