Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Manage patient ratios of 1:3, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout the labor and delivery process
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate and timely documentation
- Float between like units or affiliate facilities as needed to support staffing requirements
- Participate in orientation (approximately 36 hours) and complete required compliance modules prior to and during assignment
- Be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery and postpartum nursing experience required
- Valid California RN license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, and NRP
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (locals not accepted)
- Must be willing to float to sister or affiliate facilities nearby
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume acute care hospital environment
