Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (variable start times: 6:30 AM, 8:30 AM, or 11:00 AM) | Separate weekend shifts available
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgical team in a 10-room operating suite across a range of surgical procedures
- Scrub and circulate as required during surgical cases in the Surgical Services department
- Float to Sterile Processing (SPD) and Endoscopy (ENDO) departments as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health records
- Adhere to all facility protocols, infection control standards, and surgical safety guidelines
- Be available to float to affiliated facilities nearby as required by assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
- Valid California state surgical technologist license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify at standard rates
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Sterile Processing (SPD) and/or Endoscopy settings
- Prior travel assignment experience (first-time travelers with 2+ years of experience considered)
- Familiarity with multi-facility or affiliate hospital float requirements
