Travel RN – Behavioral Health Emergency Department

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring of behavioral health patients in an ED hold setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients experiencing behavioral health crises

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with experience in Emergency Department settings
• BLS certification required
• Experience working with behavioral health patients in an acute or emergency care environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in behavioral health ED hold or psychiatric emergency settings
• Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies
