Contract | 13–16 Week Assignment | Three 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) with weekday and weekend call requirements | Must be flexible with schedule to meet unit and patient care needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Scrub and circulate in cardiovascular and open heart surgical procedures
  • Fulfill weekday call shifts (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM), typically one per week with potential for additional coverage when short-staffed
  • Participate in one full weekend of call every five weeks
  • Float to other OR suites (General, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, etc.) as needed, in a circulating role
  • Maintain high competency in cardiovascular and open heart OR nursing practice

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience with recent, high-competency experience in Cardiovascular / Open Heart OR
  • Must be able to scrub open heart cases
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required and non-negotiable)
  • Prior travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Large academic or teaching hospital experience strongly preferred
