Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Manage a patient assignment of 5–6 patients per shift in accordance with unit staffing ratios
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during designated hurricane season periods (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license required prior to start date
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated telemetry competency required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
