Key Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns prior to scanning
• Position and immobilize patients on the exam table to ensure proper image acquisition
• Observe patients throughout the scan process under the direction of a physician
• Review and evaluate computer-generated images to determine diagnostic suitability
• Apply safety measures and utilize protection devices to maintain the safety of patients and staff

Required Qualifications

• Certification in MRI technology (ARRT or equivalent)
• Experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of patient positioning and immobilization techniques
• Ability to evaluate image quality for diagnostic purposes
• Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital or acute care environment
• Familiarity with a variety of MRI scanning protocols and sequences
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
