Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Transplant)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room with a primary focus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases
• Perform implantation of donor organs into recipient patients; transplant implantation experience is required, not solely organ procurement
• Operate Misonix/CUSA equipment proficiently during surgical procedures
• Participate in on-call coverage, including one on-call shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
• Float within scope of practice to support facility needs as required
• Complete time-sensitive onboarding modules prior to assignment start date

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending license accepted); no license hits accepted
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience required; 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures (implantation into recipient patients)
• Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA equipment
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of direct transplant OR nursing experience across multiple organ types
• Experience charting in EPIC
• Familiarity with short-term acute care teaching facility environments
