Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Rotating weekends every 3 to 4 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services across a cardiac-focused acute care hospital setting spanning multiple floors
- Evaluate and treat patients who have undergone complex cardiac procedures including open heart surgery, TAVR, and LVAD implants-
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists, case managers, and nursing staff using facility communication platforms to coordinate patient care
- Function independently as the sole or primary therapist on duty during weekend rotations, including coverage of ICU/CCU patients
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately within the facility's EMR system (Meditech)
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience
- Acute care experience, including ICU/CCU settings, is required
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload with minimal supervision, particularly during weekend coverage
- Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Wound care experience is preferred but not required
- Experience in a cardiac or specialty acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar EMR platforms
