Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatment services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and therapy goals
- Document patient progress, treatment notes, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient rehabilitation and functional independence
- Educate patients and family members on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Current COTA certification through NBCOT
- Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy Assistant license in South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Ability to fulfill a 13-week contract assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Strong documentation and communication skills
