Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) – Diagnostic Radiology

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Typically 8-hour shifts with potential for 12-hour shifts (advance notice provided) | Every third weekend required (schedule may vary)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging studies in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- Provide imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients
- Support surgical cases requiring imaging, including OR-based procedures
- Operate and maintain department-specific imaging equipment including OEC and Carestream systems
- Work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic radiology department
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Radiologic Technology license (or application process initiated)
- ARRT certification required
- IEMA certification required
- BLS certification required
- Prior experience in a busy radiology department; Level 1 Trauma Center experience strongly preferred
- OR imaging experience required; must be able to work independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR, OEC, and Carestream imaging systems
- Background working in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to think quickly in high-pressure situations
