Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) – Diagnostic Radiology

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Typically 8-hour shifts with potential for 12-hour shifts (advance notice provided) | Every third weekend required (schedule may vary)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Provide imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients
• Support surgical cases requiring imaging, including OR-based procedures
• Operate and maintain department-specific imaging equipment including OEC and Carestream systems
• Work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic radiology department

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Radiologic Technology license (or application process initiated)
• ARRT certification required
• IEMA certification required
• BLS certification required
• Prior experience in a busy radiology department; Level 1 Trauma Center experience strongly preferred
• OR imaging experience required; must be able to work independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR, OEC, and Carestream imaging systems
• Background working in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to think quickly in high-pressure situations
