Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical setting on night shift
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG data for assigned patients
• Deliver specialized nursing care to stroke and neurological patients
• Float to like units as needed, serving as first to float per unit policy
• Participate in orientation period of 24–32 hours prior to independent practice
• Adhere to weekend, holiday, and scheduling requirements as outlined by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Stroke/Neurology nursing experience (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — must be presented at time of submittal
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification — must be presented at time of submittal
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification — must be presented at time of submittal
• Passing EKG test — must be completed and presented at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Stroke/Neurology nursing experience
• Prior experience floating to similar medical-surgical or telemetry units
