Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Onsite | Projected Start: June 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
- Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities, including STEMI call coverage approximately 16–20 days per 6-week period and on-call weekend rotation (3 out of every 6 weekends).
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or a valid compact state license.
- Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Current ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related nursing specialty.
- Ability to complete on-boarding competency validation and department-specific competency requirements upon hire.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in a Critical Care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with EP (Electrophysiology) procedures in addition to Cath Lab experience.
