Contract | Days and/or Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 Hours/Week) | Day Shift: 7:00–19:00 | Night Shift: 19:30–7:30 | Onsite | No On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting with patient ratios of 1:1–2
- Manage and monitor critically ill patients experiencing conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including CRRT, IV pumps, cardiac monitors, and ventilators
- Perform IV starts and manage telemetry monitoring for high-acuity patients
- Administer and document care using the EPIC electronic health records system
- Support specialized unit procedures including continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pump management for isolation patients
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or state license must be in hand at time of submission)
- EPIC experience required
- Active BCLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- NIHSS certification required (AHA only)
- Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Hands-on experience with NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator
- Clinical experience managing COVID-positive patients in an ICU environment
