Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, Friday 7:30 AM–12:30 PM | 39 hours per week | No weekends | Closed major holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Perform oral prophylaxis including removal of hard and soft deposits and stains from tooth surfaces and polishing all surfaces of teeth
- Apply topical fluoride, expose and develop radiographs, and chart dental disease
- Provide oral hygiene instruction, nutritional and dietary counseling, and patient education
- Review medical and dental health histories, take and record blood pressure, and make and confirm appointments
- Utilize Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry
- Participate in the training and supervision of dental hygiene students
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
- Active South Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform procedures involving the use of medications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1 year of professional dental hygiene experience
- Experience with Epic Wisdom or similar dental EMR systems
