Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekend requirement: 6 days per 6-week schedule period | Projected Start: 08/17/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned Emergency Department patients.
- Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
- Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of TX or a valid compact nursing license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – AHA only.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – AHA only.
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Experience managing high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department patient populations.
- Familiarity with competency validation processes and preceptor-based onboarding programs.
