Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: September 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, including induction, vaginal delivery, C-section, D&C, cerclage, versions, and bilateral tubal ligation
- Perform triage, non-stress testing (NST), OB injections, outpatient infusions, and IUFD care
- Operate and monitor GE fetal monitors, Panda warmers, IUPC, Kiwi vacuum, and Koala IUPC equipment
- Document patient care accurately using Epic and CPN Connect EMR systems
- Fulfill on-call requirements of 2 shifts per four-week schedule and weekend requirements as staffing demands
- Float to the Mother-Baby unit as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active, permanent Alaska RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- OR circulator experience required
- Current AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification
- Current NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams (SVE) and place IUPC and FSE
- Experience as a stork nurse and transitioning newborns at delivery
- Flexible, positive, and adaptable personality with strong team-player mentality and willingness to mentor
