Travel RN – Labor and Delivery

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a 16-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Support and assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and hysterectomy procedures
- Perform immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
- Operate Baxter infusion pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink systems
- Float to related units including MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed and upon approval
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- High-risk obstetric patient care experience
- Immediate newborn care competency
- Current NRP certification
- Current BLS/ALS and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in the Labor and Delivery setting
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited for a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
