Key Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic activities
• Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
• Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the FSBPT
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and therapeutic exercises
• Empathy and patience when working with patients in a skilled or long-term care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Prior experience following and implementing physical therapist-directed plans of care
