Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with established clinical protocols and setting-specific procedures
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility and compliance requirements
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and progress
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients throughout the course of treatment
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
- Permanent state license required — compact license alone is not sufficient for this assignment
- Prior experience in the outpatient physical therapy setting required
- Must meet credentialing and contract QA requirements prior to assignment start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume outpatient therapy environment
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to adapt quickly to facility-specific workflows and protocols
