Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift, 13-Week Contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
• Work night shift as part of a team consisting of a Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs
• Operate and utilize unit equipment including Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machines, and Telemetry
• Document patient care and clinical information accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Complete 4 weekend shifts per month as part of the standard scheduling requirement
• Maintain compliance with required certifications including BLS, NIHSS, and Telemetry (Tele)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Telemetry (Tele) competency (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of nursing experience
• Experience in epilepsy care
• Receptive to feedback and demonstrates an ownership mentality in patient care
