Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Projected Start: August 24, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care on a 20-bed Transplant Nephrology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCTs, and a unit educator to deliver coordinated patient care
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 weekend shifts per month
- Adhere to floating policy — agency and contract nurses float first as needed
- Partner with virtual nursing support, which handles patient admissions remotely so bedside nurses can focus on direct patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ADN minimum required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Experience in medical-surgical, nephrology, renal, or dialysis-related care
- Familiarity with kidney transplant patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience on a transplant or nephrology unit
- Hands-on experience with dialysis patients (note: dialysis is performed off the unit)
- Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems
