Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Weekends Preferred | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for abdominal transplant procedures including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral surgeries
- Perform regulatory charting specific to transplant cases in accordance with facility and compliance standards
- Fulfill on-call requirements of approximately 40–60 hours per 6-week period
- Float as required within a multi-specialty surgical environment, including to affiliate facilities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records
- Adhere to all transplant unit protocols and participate in required holiday coverage (must work 2 out of 3 major holidays)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of transplant operating room experience, with required kidney and liver experience
- Active Indiana RN license, temporary Indiana license, or compact license valid at time of start
- Current BLS certification
- Regulatory charting certification for transplants
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Must not be an Indiana resident (Indiana residents are not eligible for this position)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with pancreatic and intestinal/multi-visceral transplant procedures
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records in a surgical setting
- Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity surgical services environment
