Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) | Holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a high-acuity Level 3 setting
- Monitor and assess antepartum and postpartum patients throughout the continuum of care
- Perform and interpret electronic fetal monitoring to ensure patient and fetal safety
- Utilize telemetry monitoring to track and respond to patient status changes
- May float to the antepartum unit as needed based on staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
- CPR Certification (current)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- Proficiency with electronic fetal monitoring
- Strong Level 3 Labor and Delivery experience, including antepartum and postpartum care
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
- Familiarity with floating to antepartum units in a high-acuity environment
