Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care in a 40-bed, fast-paced Medical Intensive Care Unit with targeted patient ratios of 1:2–3
• Support and assist with bedside procedures including Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Trach, and G-Tube placement
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ICP monitoring, arterial lines, Flotrac monitoring, BIS, and train of four
• Recover patients immediately post-operatively as assigned
• Float within specialty clusters or to other nearby campuses as directed, including high-risk respiratory and COVID units; candidate must be comfortable floating with no restrictions
• Work a minimum of every other weekend and every other holiday as required

Required Qualifications

• Active state RN license or compact license required; license must be obtained prior to contract start (not required at time of application)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Trach experience required; must be able to read and interpret EKG/telemetry strips
• Must pass an online EKG/Dysrhythmia competency assessment within 72 hours of signing contract
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in a large hospital setting (Level 1 preferred; Level 2 accepted)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or equivalent high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with N95 fit testing or PAPR use in high-risk respiratory settings
