Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Tuesday Start | 4 Weekend Shifts per Month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care on a Labor & Delivery unit with 10 LDRs and 2 OBEDs, maintaining patient ratios of 2:1 (high-risk cases may be 1:1)
- Perform and assist with procedures including Cesarean sections, BTLs, and salpingectomies
- Monitor and interpret fetal monitoring data at an intermediate level throughout assigned shifts
- Operate and document within EMR systems including CPN (Centricity) and Meditech
- Function as O.R. Circulator as required by unit needs
- Float to postpartum or medical floor as needed (medical floor float in a tech capacity only)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring competency
- Active ACLS certification
- Active NRP certification
- Active BLS certification
- O.R. Circulator experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification preferred
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
- Scrub tech skills are a plus
