Travel Registered Nurse – Postpartum / Mother Baby

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide couplet care for postpartum mothers and newborns with a standard ratio of 1:3 couplets
• Perform newborn screenings, blood glucose monitoring, and jaundice monitoring
• Assist with perineal and incision care as well as feeding support including breastfeeding assistance
• Collaborate closely with OB physicians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants to coordinate patient care
• Conduct hourly rounding for patient safety and satisfaction and participate in bedside shift report
• Float as needed to antepartum for postpartum overflow and assist with labor and delivery recoveries

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or multistate compact eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of postpartum or mother-baby nursing experience
• Demonstrated couplet care competencies
• Breastfeeding support experience
• Proficiency or ability to learn EMR systems (Meditech and CPN)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Mother-baby charge nurse experience
• Experience with late-preterm or transitional newborn care
