Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation, using bedside monitors capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Work every other weekend as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
- Operate within an acute care environment utilizing Epic for electronic health record charting
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) if applicable
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
- Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- First-time travel nurses are accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
