Cardiac Device Technologist – Outpatient Device Clinic

Burlington, VT
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | No on-call, no weekend requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform technical management of implanted cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and implanted loop recorders
- Monitor and evaluate cardiac device function in an outpatient clinic setting serving adult patients (18+)
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system to document patient encounters and device data
- Apply knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology in daily clinical practice
- Support the clinical team in the assessment and follow-up care of patients with implanted cardiac monitors
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification
- Completion of a pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent hands-on job experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR within the last 2 years
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology
- Ability to work independently in the technical management of CRM devices
- Reliable personal transportation (public transportation is not accessible in this area)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) credential
- Certified Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS) credential
