Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Utilize AIDET communication framework, maintain patient experience standards, and keep patient boards updated throughout each visit
- Document accurately and efficiently using Cerner electronic health record system
- Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment in accordance with unit protocols
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
- Demonstrate real-time coaching, feedback, and teamwork in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of total nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
- Ability to work every other weekend and adapt scheduling to meet departmental needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume Emergency Department exceeding 100,000 annual visits
- Prior experience within HCA-affiliated healthcare facilities
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly across all areas of a large Emergency Department
