Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Start Time: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week (weekends preferred) | On-call required (averaging 5–6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week sign-up period)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as patient advocate in the circulator role while acting as a resource for the sterile field
- Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a variety of surgical procedures including total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and robotic-assisted cases
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in an 11-OR surgical suite environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary OR team including RNs, scrub technicians, and surgical support technicians
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekday and weekend call shifts as scheduled
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license — required for submission; candidates without this license will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Experience in Orthopedics, Total Joints, Neurosurgery, and Robotic-assisted surgery (Xi Robotic platform)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability and willingness to take on-call shifts as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in both circulator and scrub roles
- CNOR certification
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
