Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation, using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
- Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Collaborate with a 24/7 house supervisor and leadership team, operating without on-site off-shift management while maintaining access to leadership by phone
- Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirement as a non-negotiable condition of the assignment
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
- Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Ability to commit to every-other-weekend shifts as a condition of the assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
