Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–7:30
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adults and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
- Implement and maintain heavy infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias, utilizing Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
- Manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC lines, and peripheral line care
- Provide feeding tube care and management as needed
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of overall acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Proficiency in MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification (note: chemo certification is NOT required for this role)
- NIHSS certification
- Prior travel nursing experience
