Cath Lab Technologist – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location
Olathe, KS | Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (one scheduled day off per week) | On-call required: 1–2 weeknight shifts (5:30 PM – 7:00 AM) and every 3rd or 4th weekend | Holiday coverage based on unit needs | Occasional late stays to complete cases
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub technologist duties in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology settings
- Assist with cardiac catheterization and IR procedures, ensuring proper instrumentation and sterile technique
- Support pacemaker-related procedures as needed
- Float to Electrophysiology (EP) lab based on departmental needs and individual experience
- Participate in on-call rotation including weeknight and weekend coverage
- Document and operate within the facility's EMR system (EPIC)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience
- Experience with pacemaker procedures
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations including weeknight and weekend rotations
- This is a nicotine-free facility; candidates must comply with nicotine-free policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) with ability to float to EP lab
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-specialty cath/IR/EP environment
