Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with a standard ratio of 4:1 (with cath recovery) and a maximum ratio of 6:1–7:1
- Monitor patients using remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps; document care using the Meditech system
- Assist with or support procedures performed on the unit including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- Apply knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia management in daily patient care
- Adhere to unit-specific policies including the Telemetry Monitoring Policy and Stroke Policy
- Rotate every other weekend and float to Ortho/Med-Surg as needed per floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Prior experience with chest tube management, paracentesis, or thoracentesis support
- Background in dysrhythmia recognition and management
