Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies
• Develop individualized care plans, determine desired outcomes in coordination with patients and families, and fully implement patient care therapies and procedures within scope of practice
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care performed by other team members
• Facilitate patient discharge processes including discharge teaching, coordination with Case Management, and timely execution of discharge orders
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
