Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Nights (5x8s, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap of surgical instruments and equipment
- Support surgical services across a variety of case types including Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential assignment to alternate campuses
- Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Adhere to Level I Trauma Center standards and protocols
- Participate in inclement weather response teams as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing technician experience
- First-time travelers not accepted; prior travel or equivalent experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Hands-on experience in sterilization, decontamination, and instrument assembly/wrapping
- National Certification required: CBSPD and/or HSPA
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedic, Transplant, and/or GYN surgical cases
- Familiarity with teaching facility and Magnet-designated hospital environments
- Flexibility to float to sister or satellite campuses as needed
