Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor patients using bedside telemetry equipment capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
- Interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to telemetry findings
- Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Participate in every-other-weekend rotation — weekend requirement is non-negotiable
- Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; local candidates (within 60 miles) will be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
