Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 43-bed Medical/Surgical unit in an acute care setting
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6 on night shift, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Perform a wide range of surgical support procedures, excluding cardiac and open neurosurgery
• Float as needed to support the medical unit and ER for med/surg hold nurse coverage
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members as a willing team player
• Document patient care accurately using the facility EMR system (Meditech)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Ability to rotate weekends as part of a balanced self-scheduling model
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions when unsure of processes

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR system
• Familiarity with post-surgical patient care across a broad range of procedure types
• Prior travel nursing experience in a med/surg environment
