Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a float basis across medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, renal, and cardiology units
• Call in to a recorded line up to 1 hour before shift start to receive unit assignment when in float pool status
• Operate and utilize lift devices (including ceiling lifts) and bladder scanner; training provided on lift devices
• Perform IV starts and continuous telemetry monitoring as part of routine patient care
• Adhere to weekend obligation of every other weekend or a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, plus holiday rotation
• Document all patient care using EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (must match permanent residence); Illinois license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry
• BCLS (BLS) certification required
• ACLS certification required (must be obtained by compliance deadline)
• IV start competency and telemetry monitoring competency required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Experience floating across multiple acute care units (medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, renal, cardiology)
• Prior experience with EPIC charting system
