Registered Nurse – OR Circulator / Pre-Op / PACU

Lamar, CO | Acute Care / Surgical Services

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM with occasional late days; rotational on-call including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across all three surgical service areas: Pre-Op, OR/Circulator, and PACU
• Conduct patient assessments, document care, provide emotional support, and prepare patients for surgery
• Circulate surgical cases including General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology (cataract), and Orthopedic procedures
• Recover post-operative patients and coordinate transfers as needed
• Assist with instrument and equipment processing in central sterilization
• Adhere to national standards including IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN infection control and departmental policies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with current Colorado licensure
• Experience in all three areas: Pre-Op, OR/Circulator, and PACU — this is a firm requirement
• ACLS certification required
• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations and communicate with a wide variety of individuals
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk extensively, and perform heavy lifting; exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials is expected

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 3 years of combined Pre-Op, OR, and PACU experience
• CNOR certification
• Scrub experience in the OR setting
• Familiarity with ophthalmologic and orthopedic surgical procedures
