Contract | Days, 06:45–19:15 | 2 weekends per month required | On-call: 1 shift per month | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Administer and monitor intravenous drip medications within scope of practice
• May float within scope to the Emergency Department as needed
• Participate in weekend, on-call, and holiday rotation schedules as required
• Complete virtual orientation prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of hospital Medical/Surgical experience required; new graduates will not be considered
• Local candidates are welcome; however, local hires will be expected to convert to a permanent position following the initial contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing IV drip medications such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Familiarity with Emergency Department workflows and protocols
