Contract | Onsite | May require work beyond 40 hours/week, including weekends, after-hours shifts, and on-call availability
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound exams and procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working primarily independently in a highly complex acute care environment
- Assist physicians and other medical staff during exams and procedures
- Complete all required documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Retrieve and review previous studies, reports, written orders, and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of ultrasound exams
- Perform ancillary duties to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures
- Participate in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of organizational quality indicators
Required Qualifications
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in a minimum of one category: OB/Gyn or Abdomen/Small Parts
- ARDMS certification in a minimum of one advanced category (Fetal Echocardiography, Breast, Pediatrics, Registered Vascular Technology, or Musculoskeletal), OR ten (10) years of experience in advanced practice with a commitment to obtain advanced registry
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduation experience in advanced ultrasound practice reflecting registration status
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Five (5) or more years of post-graduation experience in advanced ultrasound practice reflecting registration status
- Demonstrated ability to perform essential job functions in a busy, high-stress acute care environment
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under multiple deadlines
