Contract | 26-Week Assignment | 12-Hour Shifts | Monday–Friday | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Onsite | Days (shift days will vary based on unit need; block schedule not available)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical service lines including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
- Circulate in the OR as a primary function of the role within a large, 56-bed OR serving both inpatient and outpatient populations, plus 5 procedural rooms
- Care for adult patient populations across all assigned service lines (pediatric OR is a separate unit)
- Participate in late-stay coverage as needed — approximately four late stays per 13-week period — remaining until night shift teams can take over or rooms are closed
- Maintain flexibility to float between OR rooms within the facility as unit needs dictate
- Adhere to holiday scheduling expectations, including working two out of three holidays during the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be on file at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Circulator experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Ability to commit to the full 26-week contract duration (shorter assignments will not be considered)
- Availability to work with limited time off; excessive time-off requests cannot be approved
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, Level 1 trauma center or similarly complex OR environment
- Familiarity with robotic and hybrid room procedures
- Experience across multiple surgical service lines
