Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing patient treatment plans in an outpatient setting
- Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modality application
- Complete required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with the supervising therapist regarding patient progress and any changes in condition
- Maintain compliance with facility credentialing and documentation requirements prior to and during assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas (permanent license required — compact license not accepted)
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Ability to meet contract credentialing and quality assurance requirements before start date
- Must not have worked at this facility in a permanent or PRN capacity within the past year
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume outpatient orthopedic or physical therapy clinic
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary team members
