Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic examinations including general X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized procedures per physician orders and established protocols
• Position patients appropriately, explain procedures, and monitor for signs of distress or discomfort throughout the imaging process
• Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines to minimize ionizing radiation exposure for patients and staff
• Review radiographic images for quality and perform basic image processing techniques including cropping, collimation, and annotation
• Document examination details, imaging findings, and radiation exposure records accurately in the EMR or RIS
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate imaging services and facilitate patient care

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program (or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program as validated by active ARRT certification)
• Active ARRT Certification
• Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
• BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation safety practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working as a Radiology Technician in a hospital or medical imaging facility
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and continuous quality improvement
