Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Weekends Preferred | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in an abdominal transplant operating room setting, including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral procedures
- Perform regulatory charting specific to transplant cases using Cerner EMR
- Participate in on-call coverage requirements (approximately 40–60 hours per 6-week period)
- Float as required within the hospital or to affiliate facilities across multiple surgical specialties
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; Indiana license, temporary Indiana license, or compact license required at time of start
- Minimum 2 years of transplant OR experience required, with demonstrated kidney and liver experience
- BLS certification required
- Regulatory charting competency for transplant cases required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
- Indiana residents are not eligible for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with pancreatic and intestinal/multi-visceral transplant procedures
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
- Comfort working in a high-acuity, multi-specialty surgical environment with float requirements
