Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical Surgical Oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy, requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, and undergoing symptom management related to disease progression or treatment
• Perform and manage specialized clinical skills including accessing ports, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, IV starts, and assistance with chest tube insertion/removal
• Interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs; manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Operate unit-specific equipment including GE B450 telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, bladder scanner, and Stryker beds
• Maintain a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission
• BCLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with rotating day/night scheduling in a high-acuity medical surgical environment
